Location: Brantridge School, Staplefield Place, RH17 6EQ
Working Pattern: 36 hours per week 39 weeks per year term time only
Brantridge School is a specialist setting for boys aged 5 to 11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). Nestled in the Sussex Weald near Haywards Heath, the school is based in a beautifully adapted country manor house surrounded by expansive grounds, an ideal environment for learning and growth.

We are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support our students' educational journey. Your day-to-day assistance will be crucial in providing the help and encouragement students need to thrive in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• To assist the teacher in the preparation of differentiated lessons and gain familiarity with the work to be covered, design appropriate teaching aides, prepare materials and the classroom to ensure an effective learning environment.
• To support all pupils in their planned work in all curriculum areas, both in small group situations and individually, clarifying and explaining instructions as required to enable them to complete the work to their full ability.
• Assist the teacher in keeping a record of events and progress, bringing issues of concern to the class teacher to ensure full pupil data is available to inform assessment and future planning.
• To provide basic administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, arranging, management of resources, routine marking, display work, record keeping and collation of basic data.
• Promote the welfare of children and young people and at all times and ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
Key Requirements:
• GSCE or equivalent in maths and English
• Working as part of a team
• Ability to think, write and speak clearly and concisely
• Ability to communicate well with parents, pupils, care workers, outside agencies
• A calm, reassuring and responsive approach
