Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Family Law Solicitor to join their growing team based in their Caerphilly office. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor or experienced legal professional with a strong background in family law who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload and provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients across a range of private family law matters. This role would suit someone confident working independently while also collaborating effectively within a professional team.

Key Duties
  • Manage a varied caseload of private family law matters.
  • Handle cases relating to divorce, separation, and ancillary relief/financial settlements.
  • Provide clear and professional legal advice to clients throughout all stages of their case.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure they are informed of progress and outcomes.
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court applications.
  • Attend client meetings, negotiations, and court hearings where required.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver a high standard of legal services.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake general administrative duties and case management tasks.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor or relevant legal qualification with proven experience in family law.
  • Experience handling private family matters including divorce and financial settlements.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general case management systems.
