A Vacancy at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a consultant post commencing immediately within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will provide general obstetric and gynaecological services and will be involved in the on-call rota with other consultant colleagues, supported by the junior medical staff
The post requires a special interest in Urogynaecology and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care for women referred with pelvic floor dysfunction.
Key Results and deliverables
The post holder will be required to work with existing consultants and the multi-disciplinary team to provide a high quality well-led service for patients, including the diagnosis, investigations, treatment and management of patients, in accordance with Trust policies and practices.
The post holder will provide senior clinical leadership to support optimal team performance by promoting an open culture of continuous learning for improvement and act as supervisor and mentor for junior medical and non-medical colleagues. The post holder will work with clinical and non-clinical members of the team on service review and innovation to enhance the patient experience.
Participate in the obstetrics & gynaecology on-call rota with other colleagues, supported by resident doctors – this currently consists of a long day’s week 1:12 and a nights based week 1:12
Be skilled in managing emergency gynaecology and obstetrics – support can be provided if necessary.
Actively take part in Gynaecology leadership responsibilities and help implement national recommendations.
