We’re looking for a Group Health & Safety Manager to lead and evolve our safety culture across the organisation - ensuring our colleagues, guests, contractors and properties are protected at every level. This is not a “tick-box compliance” role. This is about leading, influencing and shaping safety across a growing multi-brand organisation.
What You Need To Know:
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Team: Facilities
Report To: Group Head of Estates, FM & Safety
Location: Hybrid role - Chester HQ with national travel
What You’ll Be Leading
You will own and drive the Group-wide Health & Safety strategy, ensuring it is:
✅Consistent across all brands
✅ Proactive rather than reactive
✅Data-driven and transparent
✅ Embedded in everyday operations
Your focus will be:
You’ll lead and embed a proactive, Group-wide Health & Safety culture across all Forge brands, ensuring colleagues, guests, contractors, and assets are protected. Your focus will include:
Governance & Compliance: Maintain and improve H&S systems, policies, and regulatory compliance, providing expert guidance to teams and leadership.
Audit & Assurance: Lead audits, manage non-conformities, and report insights to SLT, EHS Committee, and Board.
Incident Management: Oversee reporting, investigations, trend analysis, and lessons learned.
Training & Competence: Ensure mandatory training compliance, support delivery of IOSH/NEBOSH programmes.
Risk & Contractor Management: Maintain risk registers, support assessments, and oversee contractor safety processes.
Culture & Engagement: Drive a positive safety culture through leadership visibility, campaigns, and communication.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with real leadership influence. To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Strong Health & Safety leadership experience in multi-site environments
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
Excellent knowledge of UK H&S legislation
Experience leading audits, investigations and compliance programmes
Strong analytical and reporting capability
The confidence to influence at senior leadership level
A full UK driving licence.
⭐ Bonus Points If You Have:
NEBOSH Diploma
Experience in hospitality, leisure, property, or holiday parks
Fire safety qualifications
Experience implementing or improving H&S management systems
Experience with reporting platforms such as Logit
