We are looking for a Activity Coordinator to join our team at Cygnet Beckton Personality Disorder Wards (Upping and New Dawn)

This role will be working [ 38.5 hours per week (Primarily evenings and weekends to support out-of-hours engagement)

New Dawn, an 18‑bed Tier 4 specialist service for women aged 18 and over, and Upping Ward, a 15‑bed intensive support unit for the same age group, constitute the hospital’s specialist pathway for women with personality disorders. The pathway delivers graded levels of structure and support aligned to assessed risk and therapeutic readiness.

Your Day-to-Day…

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting the Occupational Therapist with;
• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
• Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained
• Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner
We’re looking for someone who has…
• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of a interdisciplinary team
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)

Requirements
Contracted hours: [£14.23 and 38.5 per week]
UK Driving licence (essential/desirable)
