Job Description

As a General Assistant you will…

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner in line with established menus and recipes.
  • Support the kitchen team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times, including general food preparation tasks.
  • Picking up and checking deliveries.
  • Help to facility team with room setups.
  • Carry out washing-up duties in the main kitchen during busy periods.
  • Keep front-of-house areas clean and organised, including managing dishes and utensils.
  • Follow correct food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Maintain tea points around the building (restocking supplies and washing up as needed).
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Training will be provided. However, a positive attitude, a genuine smile, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and being a great team player are essential.


Qualifications

  • Ideally have experience working within Education catering
  • Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
  • Fun and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent organization skills.
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail.
  • Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team.
  • Possess great customer service skills.
  • Have a flexible approach to work
