Working Hours & Shifts
• Shifts: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm / 2:30 pm – 9:30 pm / Long day 7:30 am – 9:00 pm
• Sleep-ins: £70 per night
• Rota: Every other weekend (overtime as needed)

Are you the right person for the job?
• Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent
• Proven experience in a children’s residential care setting
• Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills
• Solid understanding of safeguarding legislation and residential childcare regulations
• Calm, resilient, and professional under pressure
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible to work the rota outlined below, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
What will your role look like?
• Lead shifts and ensure high standards of care
• Support children and young people aged 8–17 with emotional, physical, and behavioural needs
• Promote safeguarding, welfare, and well-being in line with legislation and company policies
• Delegate tasks, coordinate daily routines, and support staff on shift
• Assist the Registered Manager with THE day-to-day running of the home
• Complete accurate care documentation, handovers, risk assessments, and support plans
• Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies
• Participate in household tasks and engage young people in activities such as sports, outdoor pursuits, and hobbies
