Summary


We are recruiting for a Senior Nurse - Research& Developmentwho shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

As Senior Research Nurse, the post holder will be responsible for delegated leadership and management of a team of nurses/AHPs.

The role will involve setting up and recruiting patients to a variety of high quality research studies for medical and surgical specialties, including commercially sponsored studies.

You will be part of a well supported and research delivery staff. You will be joining a Trust that sees research as an essential part of everyday activity together with the strategy to enhance patient experience and outcomes through research and innovation.

The post holder will take responsibility for the co - ordination and management of a clinical research portfolio, collaborating with key personnel throughout the NIHR Clinical Research Network/ENHT to ensure continued care and support for patients involved in clinical trials.

Responsible for the safe administration of experimental drugs and for monitoring the expected and unexpected side effects of drugs and other treatment modalities.

The post holder will be expected to have sufficient skills to enable patients to make informed choices concerning their involvement in the clinical trials by providing advice and information and acting as the patients advocate.
