Summary


We are seeking a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in any of the following areas; Musculoskeletal, Urology or Gynaecology to join a team of 22 Consultant Radiologists.

We are looking for a passionate, committed and innovative individual who will be valued and supported within our Trust.

We offer attractive working conditions which include up to 2 days working from home. We have recently upgraded our Fluoroscopy room and are about to replace our Interventional Suite and static MR scanner.

The job plan is for 10 Programmed Activities – 8.5 Direct Clinical Care and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activity (1.5 Core SPA). Additional SPA is available for additional roles in the department (Clinical/Educational Supervisor etc. There is a local agreement at WUTH that an additional 2 hours per week SPA are accommodated in monthly audit sessions and teaching during DCC commitments. Flexible and partial remote working patterns are readily considered.

The successful diagnostic candidate will participate in the diagnostic on-call Rota and will provide weekend working sessions as part of their DCC. There is a 1 PA weekly allowance for diagnostic on-call duties and weekend working time. The diagnostic consultant on call is 2nd on call. 1st on call is a combination of the regional registrar hub and evening/overnight outsourcing company. Interventional on call is shared with The Countess of Chester Hospital and is 1ston call.

The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in service development and redesign as well as collaboration with other local service providers
