Summary
Assess, plan, and implement high quality, safe, compassionate and effective perioperative care for patients, in line with scope of practice. Ensure risk management / safety strategies, Trust policies and departmental procedures are adhered to in the delivery of patient care. Demonstrate a sound theoretical understanding and practical application of evidence-based, perioperative care standards in line with national recommendations and clinical guidance (e.g., NICE,AfPP). Ensure patient safety strategies (e.g., WHO surgical Safety / 5 steps to safer surgery) are implemented consistently and where appropriate, contribute to the development of new initiatives which support the improvement agenda.
