Summary
We are an automatic gearbox specialist seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in the use of various tools and equipment. This role involves the strip down and reassembly of cars, classics and light vans . The Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
-Remove and refit gearboxes as required, on ramp provided.
-Operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively.
-Mechanical diagnostics of noise and vibration complaints.
-Perform heavy lifting as required during the assembly process.
-Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
-Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues as they arise.
Experience
-No formal qualifications necessary but proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role is required.
-Strong mechanical knowledge.
-Familiarity with power tool, and heavy lifting techniques.
-Ideally have their own tooling to a reasonable standard.
-Proficiency in working with automotive lifting equipment, but training will be given.
Schedule
-Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm with a 1 hour lunch. Possibility for overtime.
