Summary
NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education (or equivalent).
Previous experience in working with young children (under 5’s) desired (this could be in a paid or voluntary capacity).
Have a good understanding of childcare and childcare development.
Aware of Childcare Legislation and the Statutory Framework.
Good knowledge of the Early years Foundation Stage/Development Matters.
Understanding of how to plan and carry out activities to support children’s learning and development, and how to extend their learning with experiences and activities, the ability to follow children's interests.
Knowledge of keeping and writing records of children’s development.
Good knowledge of all areas of Safeguarding.
