Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive Driver/ Warehouse Operative to join our Chelmsford branch. In this role, you’ll play a key part in
keeping our warehouse running smoothly, ensuring accurate stock control, and delivering goods safely and professionally to our

What You’ll Be Doing
Delivery & Customer Service
* Deliver goods promptly and safely to merchant and retail customers.
* Provide outstanding customer service at every point of contact.
* Check goods thoroughly, ensure safe loading, and obtain signed delivery confirmations.
* Return all paperwork daily and log any shortages, returns, or discrepancies accurately.
* Take responsibility for vehicle safety, condition, and assigned stock.
* Drive safely and consistently, meeting relevant monitoring KPI targets.
* Follow all driver legislation, company policies, and handbook guidelines.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks, defect reporting, and accident reporting procedures.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and well‑presented vehicle.
Warehouse Operations
* Accurately process goods in and out of the warehouse.
* Pick and pack items for dispatch with precision.
* Load vehicles safely and efficiently for delivery routes.
* Follow correct manual‑handling practices at all times.
* Support general warehouse organisation and stock control.
Experience
* Proven capability in operating and driving a van.
* Previous experience working within a warehouse environment.
Skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Able to follow instructions and consistently meet deadlines.
* High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
