The Role A leading specialist in the design and manufacture of bespoke physical security products is seeking a skilled Workshop Fitter to join their production team. This organisation has a longstanding reputation for quality and provides essential security infrastructure for a wide range of commercial and industrial clients across the UK.

As a Workshop Fitter, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and preparation of various security systems, including industrial doors, steel hinged doors, and high-specification roller shutters.

Key Responsibilities
• Assembling and fitting components for a variety of steel and aluminium security products.
• Interpreting and working accurately from technical drawings and production schedules.
• Using a range of hand and power tools to ensure high-quality finishing on all products.
• Operating workshop machinery safely and efficiently to prepare materials for assembly.
• Conducting thorough quality checks to ensure all finished units meet strict safety and industry standards.
• Assisting with the loading and organisation of finished goods for dispatch.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience within a workshop, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly environment is essential. Experience specifically with industrial doors, shutters, or architectural metalwork would be highly advantageous.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic workshop machinery. The ability to read and understand technical drawings is a must.
• A high level of manual dexterity and attention to detail. You should be a reliable team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• The role involves manual handling and lifting of heavy components, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
