Fixed term contract / secondment opportunity until 28th December 2026



This is a rare and exciting opportunity to provide expert leadership to the Outpatient Haemodialysis Satellite Unit in Cromer, Norfolk.

The Centre comprises of 9 stations for completion of up to 27 outpatient haemodialysis treatments a day. It is part of a wider network of Norfolk Renal Services that comprises the inpatient Nephrology ward at NNUH, and the Norfolk and Norwich Kidney Centre at Bowthorpe, Norwich.

As post holder you will lead the outpatient haemodialysis service at Cromer Hospital, liaising closely with the Renal Matron and Senior nursing colleagues on Langley ward, the Home Therapy Team, and main outpatient unit at the Norfolk and Norwich Kidney Centre.

You will lead a dynamic, unique & forward-thinking nursing team, seeking to enhance their skills, knowledge, and overall experience in the workplace. Which in turn will enable you to provide your patient group with the best possible health care experience.

As post holder, your duties will include:

To provide a comprehensive service for patients within the specialist area of care in an off site nurse led facility

To provide nursing leadership and effectively manage and co-ordinate patient activity, staffing and finance within the haemodialysis outpatient unit to promote high quality health care whilst upholding and influencing professional and Trust values.

Opportunity to build a community with patients who are coming to terms with a long-term chronic condition.

Be part of the modernization and refurbishment planning of the Cromer Dialysis Unit.

Function as an ambassador for the Trust in professional and public settings.

Part time: 30.5 hrs per week

Overview of Essential Responsibilities:

1. Provide clinical and managerial leadership and support to all nursing and clerical staff that are within the staffing establishment of the outpatient unit.

2. Assist with the placement/ redeployment of appropriate personnel/skills across the directorate.

3. To assist with the management of resources in the clinical area within the agreed budget.

4. Implement Trust and Directorate evidence-based policies and guidelines.
