Summary

ABOUT US
Engineered Composites Holdings Limited is a well-established and successful UK manufacturer and stockist of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) products, based in Saltney, Chester. Founded in 1986, we have built an outstanding reputation over nearly four decades for quality, reliability, and technical expertise across a wide range of industries.
We specialise in pultruded structural profiles, GRP grating, handrail systems, fencing, and bespoke fabrication. Our products serve clients in the rail, marine, utilities, construction, water treatment, and nuclear sectors — providing lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and electrically non-conductive alternatives to traditional materials such as steel and timber.
As a small, close-knit team, we pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive working environment, combined with the professionalism and expertise of a business that operates at the forefront of composite materials technology.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Warehouse Operative to join our team. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and production facility, ensuring that orders are prepared accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on role that involves a variety of tasks, including:
• Picking and packing goods accurately for despatch to customers across the UK
• Cutting and profiling — cutting 6-metre GRP profiles and grating to specified dimensions using industrial saws
• Drilling and assembly — drilling GRP profiles and assembling components as required to meet order specifications
• Loading delivery vehicles safely and securely
• Unloading incoming containers and deliveries
• Stock management — assisting with stock organisation, inventory checks, and maintaining a tidy, safe warehouse environment

Please note that this role involves regular heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities and attributes:
• A professional, positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a small team
• Good levels of physical fitness (heavy lifting is a core part of the role)
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills

Desirable (but not essential):
• A valid UK driving licence
• A current forklift licence (counterbalance)
• Previous experience operating industrial saws, steel fabrication equipment, or woodworking machinery
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience

Prior experience of working with GRP or composite materials is not required — full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
WHAT WE OFFER
• A competitive hourly rate of £13.00 – £15.00, dependent upon experience
• A permanent, full-time position with regular Monday to Friday hours
• The opportunity to join a long-established, reputable business with nearly 40 years of trading history
• A friendly, supportive team environment where your contribution is valued
• Full on-the-job training and development
• The satisfaction of working with innovative materials used in major UK infrastructure projects
