Summary
Assistant Warehouse Manager (Part-Time)
Resurrected Bites – Harrogate
£14 per hour | 13 hours per week | 1-year fixed term (potential to extend)
Start: 6 April 2026 or as soon as possible
Resurrected Bites rescues good quality surplus food and redistributes it through community groceries and cafés. We are looking for a practical, organised Assistant Warehouse Manager to help run our warehouse and ensure food moves quickly, safely and efficiently to the people who need it.
This is a hands-on role supporting daily warehouse operations, stock control, food safety and volunteer supervision.

Key Responsibilities
• Support daily warehouse operations including goods-in, sorting, storage, picking and dispatch
• Ensure surplus food is processed quickly to minimise waste
• Coordinate food collections and deliveries
• Maintain accurate stock records
• Monitor shelf life and stock rotation (FIFO)
• Maintain food safety standards and hygiene procedures
• Supervise and support warehouse volunteers
• Help with deliveries when required (van driving desirable)

Essential Requirements
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics or food distribution environment
• Experience supervising staff or volunteers
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards
• Confident using spreadsheets or stock systems
• Physically capable of manual handling
• Full clean driving licence
Desirable:
Food Hygiene Level 2, First Aid qualification, experience with surplus food redistribution, or driving a 3.5-tonne van.

Monday – Wednesday: 08:00–11:00
Thursday: 08:00–12:00
Some flexibility may be required depending on delivery schedules.

You are practical, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-moving warehouse environment. You take responsibility for doing things properly and work well with volunteers and small teams.
