About the Role
Bhuku Ltd is recruiting an enthusiastic Employability Tutor to deliver our Lion’s Den Employability and Enterprise Programme at HMP Risley.
The tutor will work alongside another delivery tutor to support learners in developing the skills, confidence and behaviours required to progress into employment, training and further education.
Lion’s Den is an engaging personal development programme that helps learners develop practical employability skills through structured workshops, discussions and real-life scenarios.
The programme focuses on confidence building, communication skills, decision-making and goal setting to help learners prepare for successful employment and resettlement.

Key Responsibilities
The tutor will:
• Deliver engaging employability and personal development sessions
• Support learners to develop work-ready skills
• Facilitate group discussions and practical activities
• Help learners identify career goals and progression pathways
• Encourage positive attitudes towards employment and training
• Support learners who may have previously disengaged from education
• Monitor learner progress and maintain records
• Work collaboratively with prison staff and education teams.

Essential Requirements
• Experience delivering education, training or employability programmes
• Strong communication and engagement skills
• Ability to motivate learners with varied educational backgrounds
• Ability to deliver small group sessions
• Willingness to work within a secure prison environment
• Ability to pass prison security vetting.

Desirable
• Teaching qualification (DET, PGCE, CertEd or similar)
• Experience working in prison education or rehabilitation programmes
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
Applicants do not need to be qualified teachers, although teaching or training experience is desirable.
