TeacherActive is urgently recruiting for a passionate English Teacher to work within a well-established further education setting in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator who is committed to helping students develop strong literacy, communication, and analytical skills in a supportive learning environment.

The college is seeking an enthusiastic individual who can deliver engaging English lessons, inspire a love of language and literature, and support students in achieving their academic goals.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to FE students

  
  

• Plan and prepare effective learning activities that support literacy development

  
  

• Support students in improving reading, writing, and communication skills

  
  

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

  
  

• Contribute positively to the department and wider college environment

  
  

  The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience teaching English within a further education or secondary setting

    
    

  • A relevant degree or qualification in English or a related subject

    
    

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS)

    
    

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

    
    

  • A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
