Summary
Tom Willoughby Ltd are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to work within our projects team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable and well-established business with a strong order book, delivering projects throughout Yorkshire and the North East.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects varying in size and complexity. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate tenders across a full range of construction activities, as well as managing the commercial aspects of projects through to completion.
We welcome applications from experienced Quantity Surveyors/Estimators, as well as candidates who are part-qualified or currently working towards a Quantity Surveying or Estimating qualification. Candidates undertaking a degree apprenticeship or similar qualification are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
• Produce high-quality tender submissions, ensuring the tender accurately reflects the information received.
• Carry out measurements at tender stage and for secured projects.
• Price variations on live projects.
• Undertake re-measures upon project completion and prepare final accounts.
• Produce payment schedules for live projects.
• Manage procurement and payment of subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Work proactively using your own initiative while contributing positively to the wider team.
Requirements
• Degree, HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (preferred) or currently studying/working towards a relevant qualification.
• We also welcome part-qualified candidates or those gaining experience while completing their studies.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Well organised and confident in your abilities.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
Salary dependent on experience
