Summary
We are recruiting for a Butterfly position (Activities team) to join our team at Poplars Nursing and Residential Home in DE13. At Poplars, we provide care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia.
Position Details:
•Rate of Pay: in line with national minimum wage
•Hours: 28 hours per week - 4 days over a 7-day period includes regular weekend working
•Schedule: We work on a rota basis which includes weekends and bank holidays
•Shift times: 09.00 - 16.30
•Location: Rolleston Road, Burton-on-Trent DE13 0JT

Responsibilities: Within the butterfly position, you will:
•Help Create environments to be full of ‘things’ to use with masses of rummage items around.
•Supporting residents to create environments and events that they may have lived in years ago become a reality again.
•Flitting and creating anything from a 30 second activity to 10 minutes of meaningful activities for people.
•Person-centred approach focusing on the residents likes and life experience to flutter around to help support residents within their daily life.
•Creating groups of people at similar stages of living with dementia so they can be matched together, enabling more focused and meaningful support.
•Working with staff teams to ensure and promote a meaningful experience for the residents.
•To create a connection between wellbeing and occupation.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events / activities across all client categories with a genuine interest in working with the relevant client group
•Good communication and organisational skills
•Team player, Friendly, creative and confident
•Ability to work on own initiative
