Summary
High Cross area Newport
A personal assistant is required to support a 15-yr old male with ASD to access activities in the community. The role consists of:
• Going to the cinema and watching movies with him at home.
• Going out for food.
• Assisting him with making light meals at home.
• Accompanying him on walks locally, to get exercise.
The applicant must be a movie lover, as this will be a big part of the role, and something the young male is very interested in.
They must have a clean driving license and own a car.
In the home environment he enjoys gaming with his PlayStation. The young male has limited speech but can communicate and understand. He also has an awareness of danger and will not run off when he is out.
The role is more suited to someone who has a car to take him to activities and have fun times with him indoors.
Local knowledge of activities would be advantageous but not essential but going to the cinema is a must.

- HOURS OF WORK
- 4 weekend hours per week or flexible hours & days that can be negotiated following a successful interview.
RATE OF PAY
- £13.45 per hour
- Petrol @ 0.45p/mile (when taking me out in community)
