Salary: £35,972.31 (Days: 6am–6pm) / £38,672.31 (Nights: 6pm–6am)
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off – Days OR Nights – You can choose

The Role: Health & Safety Coordinator

We are looking for proactive Health & Safety Coordinators to support this brand new operational site based in Rugby, ensuring a safe working environment across their Warehousing and Logistics operations. You’ll play a key part in maintaining their ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and driving continuous improvement in safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Site Inspections: Plan and deliver full Health & Safety support to ensure compliance and duty of care.
- Incident & Accident Investigation: Work with Site Managers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Regulatory Support: Attend HSE, Local Authority, and Fire Service visits; ensure non‑conformances are addressed promptly.
- Contractor Management: Provide H&S guidance at pre‑start meetings and ensure CDM regulations are correctly followed.
- Training Delivery: Create, deliver, and coordinate training aligned to the company H&S training matrix.
- Compliance & Reporting: Assist with monthly H&S reports and ensure site submits statutory returns on time.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

- IOSH Managing Safely
- Health & Safety NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Strong background in Warehousing and Logistics & Health & Safety
- Experience conducting internal audits
- Solid understanding of H&S legislation, safe working procedures, and risk management
- Proficient with Microsoft Office & Google Workspace ideally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

- Experience with Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or NVQ Level 5

- Additional training such as:

- Manual Handling Train‑the‑Trainer
- Accident Investigation
- Fire Awareness
- Risk Assessment
- First Aid at Work
