Summary

Job Title: Home Manager
Location: Crostwick (between Norwich and Wroxham)
Reports to: Operations Manager

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Home Manager to lead a well-established care home in the charming village of Crostwick. The home provides high-quality residential, dementia, and respite care in a warm, supportive environment and is currently rated Good by the CQC. This role offers the chance to shape the continued success of a service known for compassionate care, professionalism, and strong community values.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strong leadership to the staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
- Oversee the full operational performance of the home.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and maintain excellent care standards.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and retain a skilled and committed care team.
- Manage the home’s budget and ensure financial targets are met.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to maintain full occupancy.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all records and administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor and evaluate the home’s performance, implementing improvements where required.
- Manage risks effectively to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.

Skills & Attributes:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Manager of a 30+ bed care home with a Good rating.
- Strong ability to engage with residents and deliver person-centred care.
- Experience involving residents and families in care planning and evaluation.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to maintain positive relationships with regulators, social services, and families.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to maintain high occupancy levels.
- Commitment to community engagement and building the home’s local reputation.
- Proactive, driven attitude with a leadership style that leads by example.
- High attention to detail and pride in maintaining excellent standards.
