Our client, a privately owned and values‑driven organisation with a strong international presence, is seeking an experienced and versatile Trade Marketing Manager to lead marketing activity across the trade and distribution channel in the UK.
This key role will be responsible for driving growth, increasing market presence, and leading the PR strategy to strengthen brand visibility and positioning within a highly competitive sector.
You will combine strategic planning with hands‑on execution, managing both long‑term marketing initiatives and day‑to‑day activity. Working closely with sales, product, technical and customer experience teams-as well as the wider marketing function-you will create commercial opportunities, engage key audiences and enhance the brand's impact across the trade market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive trade marketing strategies.
- Drive the growth and engagement of the Installer Club.
- Work collaboratively with sales, product, technical and customer experience teams to identify opportunities and deliver integrated marketing initiatives aligned to commercial objectives.
- Lead PR activity for the trade channel, securing opportunities to increase brand visibility, credibility and market influence.
- Develop high‑quality marketing collateral and campaign assets, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
- Manage and optimise the trade marketing budget, ensuring effective prioritisation and strong return on investment.
- Strengthen brand awareness within the trade audience through clear and consistent market positioning.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns to support product sales, drive engagement, and add value for wholesalers and merchant partners.
- Track, analyse and report on campaign performance, using insights to refine activity and achieve agreed KPIs.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers and partners to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of sector trends, applying insights to enhance the trade marketing approach.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience - Essential
- Proven B2B marketing experience covering the full marketing mix.
- Strong strategic capability combined with hands‑on execution across online and offline channels.
- Experience managing or supporting loyalty or engagement programmes in a B2B or trade‑focused environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales, product and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong budget management skills, with the ability to prioritise investment to maximise ROI.
- Ability to work flexibly within a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and compelling content.
- Experience planning and delivering PR activity, including content creation.
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and performance tracking.
- Proven ability to manage external agencies and suppliers to deliver effective campaigns.
Desirable
- A degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
- Understanding of trade marketing principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms and digital marketing tools.
