Summary

FM Conway is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic Aggregate and Asphalt division. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine hands-on training whilst gaining a nationally recognised Level 3 Laboratory Technician qualification. You will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out quality control testing, calibrations, and inspections within the lab, ensuring we deliver the best quality products and service to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gravesend, Kent.

The duties of an Apprentice Laboratory Technician will include:

- Maintaining the highest standards throughout the testing process of our asphalt and bitumen products

- Ensuring accurate reports are issued and gaining knowledge and understanding of all testing procedures

- Committing to your Laboratory Technician apprenticeship and completing all require qualifications, attending mandatory events and continuously developing knowledge, skills, and behaviours

- Ensuring, with guidance from your mentor, that ongoing compliance with UKAS, ISO 9000 processes are maintained

- Following all company HSE procedures and maintain high standards at all times

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate team player, who is eager to learn, takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication, written and verbal is essential for this role. You should have a minimum grade of 4 and above in Maths and English GCSEs.
