Summary

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds?

We are seeking a motivated and inspiring Life Skills Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people across KS3 and KS4.

The role will share responsibility for leading key aspects of Personal Development across the school.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, deliver and assess outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches
  • Lead personal development initiatives to raise achievement across Arc School Ansley
  • Plan and deliver impactful CPD that motivates staff and supports their professional growth
  • Evaluate and enhance teaching and learning through coaching and development of teaching staff
  • Implement evidence‑based training programmes aligned to School Development Plans
  • Work with senior leaders to promote National Professional Qualifications and wider professional development
  • Conduct research and analysis on personal development and present clear, concise reports to SLT

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable
  • Experience of working with children and young people with SEND and ASC
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods
  • An excellent knowledge of your specialist curriculum area and how it may be effectively taught, along with an ability and willingness to teach other areas of the curriculum

Who are we?

Opened in 2014, Arc School Ansley is an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.

Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.

Arc School Ansley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
