Main Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
- Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY tasks around the building.
- Report larger repairs or health & safety hazards to the appropriate manager or contractor.
- Conduct regular checks of the building, facilities, and equipment.
- Open and lock the site at agreed times, ensuring all buildings and grounds are secure.
- Monitor alarms, security systems and CCTV (if applicable).
- Act as a key holder, responding to out‑of‑hours emergencies when required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in internal and external areas.
- Support cleaning staff and cover essential cleaning tasks when required.
- Ensure rubbish is collected, bins are emptied, and outdoor areas are kept tidy.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including conducting daily and weekly checks.
- Record and report incidents, hazards and maintenance issues.
- Assist with risk assessments and ensure safe working practices.
- Set up rooms, furniture and equipment for meetings, classes or events.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and staff where needed.
- Manage deliveries, stock levels and ordering of basic supplies.
