Summary
An established and growing construction company specialising in high-quality UK residential developments is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join its team based near Newark, Nottinghamshire.
This is a key role within a collaborative technical team, supporting projects from concept through to completion and ensuring all design and technical information is accurate, compliant, and buildable.
The OpportunityYou will work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to coordinate design information and resolve technical challenges across a range of housing developments. This role offers the chance to be directly involved in the successful delivery of residential projects while developing your technical career in a supportive environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduce, review, and update technical drawings and documentation
•
Coordinate design information to ensure accuracy, compliance, and buildability
•
Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve design queries
•
Manage construction documentation including drawings, specifications, and schedules
•
Maintain drawing registers and version control
•
Support planning applications, statutory approvals, and procurement processes
•
Attend site and design meetings to provide ongoing technical support
•
Assist in ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ technical experience within the UK housing or construction sector
•
Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit experience beneficial but not essential)
•
Solid understanding of technical drawings and residential construction methods
•
Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
•
Experience liaising with Local Authorities, Building Warranty providers, and utilities is advantageous
•
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
•
Proactive, collaborative, and solution-focused approach
Desirable Qualifications
Relevant degree-level qualification in construction, architecture, or engineering
•
Training in AutoCAD and MS Project
•
Revit experience advantageous
