We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Gas Engineer to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial sites, delivering high-quality servicing, fault finding, repairs and small installation works.
This role is essential in ensuring all activity is completed safely, professionally and in full compliance with statutory and industry standards.
Job Description
You will be responsible for planned, reactive and proactive maintenance across commercial gas, heating and HVAC systems, while also supporting wider building services tasks.
The role includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota and requires strong technical capability, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering a reliable service for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver PPM, reactive and proactive maintenance across commercial gas, combustion and HVAC systems.
Carry out wider building services maintenance including mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and fabric-related tasks.
Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and complete new installations across gas and heating systems.
Undertake both major and minor installation works in compliance with relevant standards.
Participate in the callout rota and respond to emergency issues in line with client SLA requirements.
Ensure full compliance with legislation, Gas Safe standards and internal safety procedures.
Maintain accurate work records using PDA systems and support clear communication with stakeholders.
Provide a professional, customer-focused service across all client sites.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience:
Significant experience in commercial gas, combustion and heating-related building services maintenance.
Strong background in fault finding, routine maintenance and installation work.
Extensive experience delivering Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
Proven track record within Facilities
Management (FM) or commercial building services environments.
Qualifications:
Commercial Gas Qualifications (must include):
Commercial Core Safety: COCN1 or CODNC1
TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1
Domestic Core Gas Qualifications (must include):
CCN1
CENWAT1
CPA1
Technical Certifications:
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or related Mechanical Engineering discipline
Registrations & Licenses:
Gas Safe Registered
IPAF / PASMA
Full UK Driving Licence
