Summary

Customer Service Advisor

An organised and proactive Customer Service Advisor is required for a growing manufacturing, design and retail organisation. This role involves handling customer enquiries, managing CRM records, processing orders and providing excellent customer service across phone, email and online channels.

SALARY: £28,000 pro rata / £19,600 Actual Annual Salary (based on 28 hours per week) + Benefits

LOCATION: Par, Cornwall, South West England (this is a 100% office based role)

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday – 28 hours per week between 9:00am and 5:30pm (to be established)


JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Customer Service Advisor to join a busy and friendly team within a growing manufacturing and retail environment.

As a Customer Service Advisor you will act as the first point of contact for customers, responding to inbound calls, emails and online enquiries while delivering a professional and supportive customer experience.

Working as a Customer Service Advisor you will manage customer queries, process orders, maintain CRM records and collaborate with internal departments to ensure products and services are delivered efficiently.

You will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting the customer journey from enquiry to delivery while helping improve services through feedback and proactive communication.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Customer Service Advisor include:

• Respond to Customer Enquiries: Manage incoming queries via phone, email and online channels, providing prompt and professional support

• Process Customer Requests: Handle quotations, product information, sales orders, engraving requests, returns, replacements and complaints

• Understand Customer Needs: Identify and assess customer requirements to ensure satisfaction and support the overall customer journey

• Resolve Customer Issues: Manage complaints and provide solutions within agreed service level timeframes while ensuring a positive outcome

• Maintain CRM Records: Keep customer databases accurate and up to date with clear communication notes and interaction history

• Monitor Online Channels: Review website and social media activity to ensure a positive customer browsing and purchasing experience

• Track Deliveries: Monitor courier dashboards to identify delivery issues early and keep customers informed of progress

• Update Order Tracking: Maintain spreadsheets and internal records relating to customer orders and delivery status

• Support Team Collaboration: Share customer feedback with internal departments to support product and service improvements

• Handle Inbound and Outbound Calls: Communicate confidently with customers by telephone to provide updates and resolve queries


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in customer service, customer support or an administrative role would be advantageous

• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and documentation skills

• Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams

• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to resolving customer queries

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polite and friendly manner

• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload in a busy environment

• Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining customer records

• Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound telephone calls

• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new products and systems

• Ability to work towards targets, deadlines and team objectives
