Business Manager – Doncaster – c.£55k + bonus

Overview:
Our client is an engineering business that service customers across the UK and appointing the right BDM and Customer Service Manager is essential to their continued success. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark using hands-on engineering knowledge, relationship‑building skills, strategic thinking and commercial awareness. The role:
The Customer Service and BDM leads an engineering service team and the role encompasses all aspects of business development from implementing service schedules and delivery plans to identifying and proactively targeting potential customers. Analysis of the market is essential to recognise service potentials, develop and execute proactive sales strategies to acquire new clients and secure new contracts.
This is a full and interesting role, giving you the freedom to develop the current service business model, policies and procedures for warranty claim management and increasing service package offerings. You will also use your engineering knowledge and experience to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical queries, ensuring external or internal actions are completed in a timely manner and meet the expectations of the customer.

Requirements:
It is expected that applicants have a recognised engineering qualification along with proven experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering / service environment.
With a career following the customer service route, you will be commercially astute, able to lead a team, driving and developing service revenue stream and have demonstrable experience of managing key accounts and new business development.

Benefits:
Salary: As well as a salary c£55k, depending on experience, skills and abilities, the engineering customer service and BDM can expect business and personal performance related bonus (details to be discussed at interview).
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 5pm, finishing at 4.30pm on Fridays.
Holidays: Up to 34 inc. over 5 years (20 days plus your birthday, plus bank holidays and an additional day for every completed 12 mths of the holiday calendar year, up to a maximum of 25 Days).
