Dumfries & Galloway College is seeking an experienced, proactive and creative Marketing Team Leader to support the delivery of high‑quality marketing, communications and digital engagement across the College.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic marketing professional to play a key role in shaping how we communicate with prospective students, employers, communities and partners. Working as part of a hands‑on, multiskilled team, you will lead day‑to‑day operations, manage workflow, support the delivery of impactful campaigns, and ensure our marketing activity is accurate, engaging, timely and on‑brand.

What You’ll Do
As Marketing Team Leader, you will:
Oversee day‑to‑day marketing delivery across digital, social media, PR, campaigns, events and print.
Coordinate incoming work requests and manage workflow across the marketing team.
Shape and deliver engaging content that strengthens recruitment, commercial income and College visibility.
Support website content development and improvements to user experience.
Lead on social media presence, ensuring engaging, accessible and compliant content.
Deliver targeted campaigns aligned to student recruitment, employer engagement and College priorities.
Work with external media, PR partners, creative suppliers and internal colleagues across campuses.
Protect and champion the College brand, ensuring consistency, quality and accessibility.
Support team development, provide guidance and quality assurance, and encourage continuous improvement.
Manage budget tracking, procurement and financial reporting associated with marketing activity.

We’re looking for someone who brings:
Essential experience
Leadership experience in a marketing role within a complex organisation.
Proven success delivering multichannel marketing campaigns.
Strong digital communications and social media experience.
Experience producing or overseeing PR, communications or brand‑focused work.
Confidence using data to inform decisions and measure performance.
Essential qualifications
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field or equivalent professional experience.
CIM (or similar) accreditation, or the willingness to work towards one.
Skills you’ll need
Excellent communication, project management and organisational skills.
Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding and customer journeys.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality outputs.
Ability to inspire and support team members.
Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office and any job-specific software/systems
Adaptability to evolving digital opportunities and willingness to continuously improve digital competencies.
Desirable
Experience in FE, HE or public sector.
Experience with CRM systems, segmentation or automation tools.
Knowledge of regional skills and education landscape.
