Summary

About Discovery

At Discovery, you'll find more than a job - You'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Your voice matters, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your growth is celebrated. Together, we make a real difference - for the people we support and for you.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2025 — our seventh consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

Every day is an opportunity to create comfort, connection and independence for the five incredible people living in this home. You'll be supporting one woman and four men, all in their 50s to 60s+, who have profound physical disabilities, multiple learning disabilities and epilepsy.

Support is hands-on and fast-paced. You'll provide full personal care, including bathing, dressing, washing and toileting. Most people use wheelchairs and require hoisting, and you'll also support with medication, personal finances and the positive daily interactions that build confidence and joy.

Life here is active, varied and filled with meaningful experiences. You may be accompanying someone to a music concert, getting into the pool to provide support during swimming sessions, visiting the zoo or garden centres, baking, enjoying arts and crafts, or helping grow our own food. Healthy eating, creativity and sensory-based activities are a big part of the weekly routine.

You'll work as part of a large, supportive team, but also independently at times, so flexibility, teamwork and confidence in lone working are important. The environment can be busy and fast-moving, but always rewarding.

Shifts include 7am-2pm and 3pm-10pm with alternate weekend working.
Driving licence: A full, manual UK driving licence is essential, as there are no public transport links available.

About you

You're someone who brings genuine compassion, patience and dignity to every interaction, staying calm and steady even in a busy, fast-paced environment. You're detail-minded and safety-focused, able to follow care plans, support with full personal care and use hoisting equipment confidently. You communicate clearly, build trust easily and balance working well within a large team with being confident when lone working. Creative and positive, you enjoy getting involved in meaningful activities—whether that's swimming, baking, arts and crafts or trips out—and you encourage healthy routines and independence wherever possible. You're organised, proactive and values-driven
