Summary
Job Title Salaried General Practitioner Reports To GP Partners - Clinical Supervision Practice Manager - Operational and Administrative Hours 5-6 sessions per week - to be agreed Location The Red Practice, Walton Health Centre, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey Job Summary The post-holder will provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care services to the registered patient population at The Red Practice. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Salaried GP will manage a broad range of clinical presentations, deliver safe and effective consultations, and contribute to the ongoing development of the practice. The role includes face-to-face and telephone consultations, clinical administration, prescribing, and participation in quality improvement, teaching, and clinical governance activities. Main Duties and Responsibilities Provide face-to-face and telephone consultations for patients Assess and manage patients with undifferentiated and complex medical conditions Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illness Develop care plans in partnership with patients Provide preventative healthcare, screening and health promotion Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other healthcare professionals Prescribe in accordance with national and local prescribing guidance Review pathology results, clinical correspondence and patient queries Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records Participate in home visits where required Contribute to QOF, enhanced services and clinical quality improvement initiatives Teamworking and Collaboration Work collaboratively with GP partners, salaried GPs, nurses, HCAs and administrative staff Work alongside PCN staff including pharmacists and social prescribers Participate in clinical meetings and multidisciplinary discussions Support the training of GP trainees and medical students where appropriate Promote a positive and supportive team culture Clinical Governance and Quality Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives Support evidence-based clinical practice Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records Escalate patient safety concerns appropriately Contribute to development of practice policies and protocols Professional Responsibilities Maintain full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) Maintain a licence to practise and participate in annual appraisal and re-validation Engage in continuing professional development Attend practice educational and clinical meetings
