Summary
ACCPs are responsible for the assessment and treatment of critical care patients, both inside and outside the ICU. ACCPs perform invasive clinical skills and are expected to input to education and research within their department. This advanced role will provide expert clinical care to patients requiring level 1-3 care both in Intensive care and Trust wide. The role involves extensive training according to the National Competency Framework for Advanced Critical Care Practitioners to perform advanced clinical skills across critical care services at King's. Advanced Critical Care Practitioners (ACCPs) work as part of a consultant lead multi-professional critical care service at Kings. They are responsible on a day-to-day basis to the on call consultant intensivist responsible for the patient.
