Job description
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Facilities Officer to support the day-to-day running of our site. The role is suited to someone with previous Facilities Management experience who is organised, hands-on, and confident working within a professional office environment.
The Facilities Officer will play an important role in ensuring the workplace operates efficiently, supporting staff with facilities-related requests while maintaining a safe, well-presented office environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and responding to facilities helpdesk tickets through the CAFM system, ensuring requests are logged, monitored, and resolved within appropriate timeframes
Conducting regular office floor walks and building inspections to identify maintenance issues, health and safety concerns, or general workplace improvements
Coordinating and intercepting deliveries, ensuring items are received, logged where necessary, and distributed appropriately
Supporting the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the office environment, ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and functional
Preparing and setting up meeting rooms as required, ensuring rooms are arranged appropriately and ready for use
Liaising with contractors and internal teams where necessary to ensure facilities issues are addressed promptly
Supporting the wider facilities function with general operational tasks and workplace support as required
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience working in Facilities Management, ideally within a corporate or office environment
Be familiar with using a CAFM or helpdesk ticketing system
Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
Have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving workplace issues
Be punctual, reliable, and professional in their approach to work
This role would suit someone who enjoys being visible on the office floor, takes pride in maintaining high workplace standards, and is comfortable managing multiple facilities tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
