Summary
IT Support Engineer / Deployment Technician
An exciting opportunity for a technically minded IT professional to support Microsoft Teams Phone and unified communications deployments across customer sites. This role involves IT support, telephony configuration, Microsoft 365 environments, device deployment, and troubleshooting as part of major digital transformation projects.

SALARY: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits
LOCATION: Field based role working at customer sites UK-wide (with occasional visits to the company offices in Bristol)
JOB TYPE: Fixed-Term Contract (Ending 18 December 2026 with potential to extend)
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will need a Full Driving Licence & Right to work in the UK

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Support Engineer / Deployment Technician to support the deployment of Microsoft Teams Phone and enterprise voice technologies across customer environments.
As the IT Support Engineer / Deployment Technician you will assess IT readiness, deploy devices, and assist with the rollout of unified communications solutions including Microsoft 365, VoIP and telephony services. Working closely with consultants and project managers, you will help ensure smooth transitions and successful go-live activities.
The IT Support Engineer / Deployment Technician plays a key role in delivering technical deployment support, device configuration and user guidance across multiple client sites throughout the UK.
This position offers excellent exposure to large-scale UC projects and can act as a stepping stone into technical consultancy, project management or technical operations roles within a growing IT environment.
The company specialise in helping organisations maximise their investments in Microsoft 365, Azure and Teams voice management. They provide expert consultancy, 24/7 support, and automation-driven administration and configuration services to streamline communication, enhance collaboration and boost productivity for their clients.
DUTIES
Your duties as the IT Support Engineer / Deployment Technician include:
• Site Readiness Assessments: Assess customer IT environments to ensure readiness for Microsoft Teams Phone and enterprise voice deployments
• Device Deployment & Configuration: Install, configure and test Microsoft Teams-certified desk phones and endpoint devices across customer sites
• System Setup: Configure device profiles, calling policies and user settings within Microsoft Teams environments
• Deployment Support: Assist with rollout activities including floorwalking, early user support and site migration assistance
• Testing & Validation: Perform inbound and outbound call testing to confirm successful deployment and accurate call routing
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during deployment, escalating where necessary
• User Guidance: Provide support and guidance to end users on phone functionality, Teams soft client features and call management
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with consultants and project managers to support successful delivery of unified communications projects
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
• Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Phone and the wider unified communications ecosystem
• Knowledge of telephony systems including physical phone hardware setup and configuration
• Good general IT literacy including Microsoft Windows and networking fundamentals related to voice and UC solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and external partners
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple site activities
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
Desirable
• Microsoft 365 certification or equivalent technical accreditation
• Experience with SIP trunking, PBX systems and VoIP technologies
• Experience supporting large-scale unified communications or voice deployment projects
• Degree or professional certifications in Technology or Business Management
