Summary
WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
POSITION : Warehouse Operative
LOCATION : Hull
SALARY AND BENEFITS : £27,873 + Health Scheme + Pension ( up 10% matched )
THE ROLE : This is a great opportunity for candidates with previous warehouse experience to work for an established business in Hull. The Warehouse Operative will contribute to the efficient operation of the whole Warehouse and Despatch operation by ensuring excellent control of both incoming finished goods and outgoing despatches to customers for all products.
Full Time – Monday to Friday rotating weekly 07:00 – 16:00 and 09:30 – 18:30
The Warehouse Operative is a salaried role and the successful candidate will be engaged on fixed term 2 year contract
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
To prepare customer deliveries ensuring correct product and quality standards are met and load onto appropriate vehicles.
To have a pleasant manner with outside sub-contractors, while remaining in control.
To ensure Finished Goods, Raw Materials and WIP are stored safely and in the correct locations.
To interact with the SAP Warehouse Management System, where appropriate
To carry out safety check on MHE equipment using the MHE app on AppSmith
To assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Warehouse, Loading Areas and Yard.
To maintain good communications with all departments.
To assist in physical stock take.
Provide cover (if necessary) for the Goods Inwards Operatives
To adhere to company policy on such matters as health and safety, training, discipline, security etc.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :
Current Reach Truck & Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence
To have an appreciation of a Warehouse & Distribution environment.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential.
Ability to organise your own workload and work with minimum supervision.
