Summary

We have an opportunity for a six month paid work experience role in our Facilities team in Harston, Cambridge. This is a full time, on-site role, Monday to Friday 0830-1700.

This is a practical, hands on role reporting to the local Facilities Manager and working closely with other team members to assist with facilities and maintenance tasks around our large site. Day to day tasks may include:

• Office and grounds maintenance: assisting with daily facilities checks, assisting with basic maintenance tasks, cleaning, litter collection and tidying, logging and reporting potential issues.
• Conference and meeting rooms: assisting with conference room set ups in line with meeting requirements. Resetting meeting rooms after use including ensuring whiteboards are cleaned and supplies replenished.
• Post room: assisting with post room duties such as sorting incoming letters and parcels and notifying recipients.
• Stock control: monitoring stock levels of consumables in meeting rooms and employee kitchens and replenishing when required.

This role would suit someone who is ready to take their first step into a professional environment. No specific experience or qualifications are needed. We understand this may be your first role, and you will receive mentoring and supervision from a dedicated member of our Facilities team along with regular weekly support from HR to help you settle in and progress.

You will need to bring personal integrity and respect for confidentiality, as well as being punctual, presentable, and reliable, with a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and ready to contribute to a busy, collaborative team while gaining real paid work experience to boost your CV.
