We are seeking a Facilities Operations Assistant to support the smooth, efficient and professional running of daily facilities operations across our site.
This hands-on role plays a key part in maintaining presentation standards, delivering front-of-house excellence, and ensuring events, visitors and staff receive the highest level of service.
Job Description
We are looking for someone with strong customer service capability, practical maintenance skills and a flexible approach to varied operational tasks.
You will combine confident communication with a proactive mindset, supporting both routine activities and reactive needs across events, building maintenance and day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support event and room setups, including AV coordination and furniture movement.
Liaise with event organisers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
Provide on-site support during events to resolve operational issues.
Conduct post-event inspections and reinstate spaces to required standards.
Deliver professional front-of-house support when required.
Act as the first point of contact for staff, visitors and VIPs.
Maintain high presentation standards across reception and throughout the site.
Carry out minor repairs, including decoration, carpentry/joinery, ceiling tile replacement and basic lock changes.
Undertake low-level electrical tasks.
Conduct routine building inspections and report defects.
Support contractors during planned works.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Essential:
Strong customer service skills with a professional, approachable manner.
Practical maintenance ability across basic repairs and low-level electrical work.
Good communication and problem-solving skills, with confidence working independently or as part of a team.
Physical fitness suitable for manual handling and furniture movement.
Relevant certifications: SIA licence, ladder safety, manual handling and low-level electrical safety.
Desirable:
First aid training.
Fire marshal training.
