Summary
General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026 (part-time considered)

Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Teach General Science across KS3 classes
- Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
- Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs and abilities
- Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
- Support pupils in developing enquiry skills, scientific understanding, and confidence
- Assess learning and provide verbal and written feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science
- Strong knowledge of KS3 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and support mixed‑ability learners
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality science teaching
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
