Summary

Our client, a leading provider of specialist education and support services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Mentor to join their team in Caerphilly, Caerphilly County Borough. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum, helping them to develop essential life skills and reach their full potential.

As an Autism Support Mentor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing personalised support, guidance, and mentorship to individuals with autism, enabling them to navigate the challenges they may face in their daily lives. This could include supporting them with social interactions, communication, self-care, and independent living skills, as well as helping them to access and engage with community resources.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including educators, therapists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to supporting our clients. Your role will involve collaborating with these team members to develop and implement individualised support plans, monitoring progress, and adapting strategies as needed to meet the unique needs of each individual.

In addition to providing direct support, you will also be responsible for documenting your observations, progress, and any concerns, ensuring that accurate and comprehensive records are maintained. This will enable our client to continuously evaluate and refine the support services they offer, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the individuals in their care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a deep understanding of autism spectrum disorder and the challenges faced by individuals on the spectrum. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as you will be required to build trusting relationships with our clients, their families, and other members of the support team. Patience, empathy, and a creative problem-solving approach are also highly valued.

Our client offers a competitive salary range of £490.00 - £650.00 per week, as well as a range of benefits to support your professional and personal development. This is a full-time position, and we are committed to providing a flexible and supportive work environment to ensure that you can thrive in your role.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with autism, and you possess the skills and experience to excel in this rewarding role, we encourage you to apply. Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive community for those on the autism spectrum.
