About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 and smallsupport to pupils with a range of special educational needs (including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional needs).
Assist the class teacher in adapting activities, resources and learning environments to promote accessibility and engagement.
Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe, confident and supported throughout the school day.
Support behaviour management through calm, nurturing and consistent approaches.
Contribute to progress monitoring, working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
Help create an inclusive classroom where every child is valued and able to thrive.
About You
Wed love to hear from you if you:
Have experience supporting children with SEN (schoolor in a transferable setting).
Are patient, empathetic and confident working with a variety of additional needs.
Communicate clearly, calmly and professionally with pupils and staff.
Can adapt quickly, use your initiative and remain positive under pressure.
Are passionate about making education accessible and enjoyable for all learners.
Hold relevant training (such as Autism, Team Teach, safeguarding) desirable but not essential.
