Summary


Continuity of Carer Team Midwife - Young Parents

The post holder will be committed and passionate in
providing continuity of care with a specialist interest in
providing personalised enhanced care to young parents. You
will provide continuity during the antenatal, intrapartum and
postnatal period to pregnant people whom may choose or be
recommended to give birth at home, in the birth centre or in an
obstetric setting.

You will be involved in the holistic care of young parents including safeguarding, parent education and wider public health issues.

Better Births set a specific expectation that each woman
would have “a midwife she knows at the birth” amongst other
requirements.

Evidence shows that continuity models improve safety and outcomes.
Continuity of carer is an important tool in meeting our ambition to provide personalised care to all.



The post holder will practice in a safe, caring and
professionally competent manner in accordance with Midwives
Rules and Code of Practice and those of the NMC and the
Local Supervising Authority. You will also work in accordance with East
Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust policies and standards,
wherever those practice will take place

We have part time, permanent and fixed term roles available, 25-30 hours per week
