Summary

Nursery Practitioner – 40 hours per week (4 Days) – £28,000 - £32,200



Children spend much of their day exploring different activities, moving between play areas, and spending time outdoors. This growing nursery is expanding its team as numbers increase, with practitioners working closely together to run activities, support development, and create a calm, engaging environment for the children in their care.



Before You Apply



  • This role requires a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.

  • Applicants should have recent experience working in a nursery or early years setting.

Key Job Details



  • Salary: £28,000 – £32,200 per year (depending on qualification and experience)

  • Hours: 40 hours per week across 4 days

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent

What You’ll Need



  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or recognised equivalent)

  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or Early Years Practitioner

  • Understanding of EYFS and early years development

  • Confidence working within nursery ratios and daily routines



What You’ll Do



  • Plan and run activities that support learning and development under the EYFS framework

  • Observe children and record developmental progress

  • Support daily routines including play, outdoor time, meals, and rest

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised play environment

  • Communicate with parents and carers about their child’s development

  • Work with colleagues to ensure ratios, routines, and safeguarding standards are met
