Summary
Room Leader (Toddler Room) – 40 hours per week – £35,200
Children spend much of their day exploring different activities, moving between play areas, and spending time outdoors. This expanding nursery is growing its team and is looking for an experienced practitioner to lead the toddler room, guiding the daily routine, supporting colleagues in the room, and ensuring children aged around 2–3 years are engaged, safe, and developing confidently.
Before You Apply
- This role requires a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Applicants should have recent experience working in a nursery and leading or supporting a room.
- This position is NOT suitable for candidates without recognised Level 3 childcare training.

- Salary: Up to £35,200 per year (depending on experience)

What You’ll Need
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or recognised equivalent)
- Previous experience working as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner
- Strong understanding of EYFS and toddler development
- Confidence overseeing ratios, routines, and daily room organisation
What You’ll Do
- Lead the daily running of the toddler room, maintaining routines and organisation
- Plan and oversee activities that support learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Observe children’s development and ensure progress is accurately recorded
- Guide and support practitioners working within the room
- Build strong relationships with parents and share regular updates on progress
- Maintain safeguarding, health, and early years compliance standards
