We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to support running warehouse operations in a multitude of tasks, including loading, unloading, operating MHEs and general warehouse duties.
The roles will follow a 5 out of 7 shift pattern (weekend work will be required) and will require regular travel to our Tilbrook site (MK7 8BN) to support induction and onboarding.
The roles will offer a salary of £28,537.32 with a shift allowance of £832 and a shift pattern of 14:00-22:00.

Key responsibilities:
1. Operations
a. safely load and unload products onto trailers, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to.
b. Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage to kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm.
c. Complete relevant paperwork to confirm loading and unloading activities have been carried out for audit purposes.
d. Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse.
2. MHE & Automation
a. As directed in accordance with training, appropriately use material handling equipment to support operational processes.
b. Monitor, operate, and support automated warehouse systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), 4-way shuttle, Goods to Person (GTP) and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS).
3. Health and Safety (H&S)
a. Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved.
b. Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
c. Maintain and update site Risk Assessments, Safe, System of Work and working instructions.
4. Continuous Improvement
a. Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
5. Communication
a. Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity
6. Company Procedures
a. Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values.
Key requirements:
• Good level of general education, including good understanding of both written and verbal English
• FLT licence: counterbalance, reach truck licences or pallet stacker (A2). A4 category will be highly desirable
• Manual lifting up to 20 kg will be required
• Willingness to undertake additional training (A4 licence etc.)
• Driving licence (travel to Milton Keynes will be required during induction and onboarding)
• Literate and numerate
• Previous warehouse experience is an advantage.
• Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage
• Previous experience of interacting with automated systems is an advantage
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
