ROP: £12.60 per hour

Details

Post 1:
Child Support Worker (4 – 6 hrs) required to support a 4 yr old boy who is Neurodivergent (awaiting formal diagnosis)

Knowledge and understanding of Autism / ADHD and challenging behaviour required.

You will provide support with 1:1 play in his home. He has a playroom and enjoys playing with playdough, Lego, arts & crafts, messy time.

Male support worker would be preferred as assistance is required with toileting (potty /dressing / hand washing etc). Prompting with eating and drinking required.
Support will be in the family home to begin with, with the hope that this can build up to accompanying on family trips, going to shops (he likes routines and going to the same shops), going swimming.

Hours will be flexible however preferred days will be Tues or Sat / Sun (between the hours of 8am & 8.30pm)

Post 2
Child Support Worker (4 – 6hrs) required to support a 2 year old girl who has Angelman’s Syndrome.

Experience of supporting young children with disabilities is essential.

She has medication needs and her condition means she takes seizures which can result in the requirement for rescue meds, therefore Epilepsy / Medication and First Aid training will be required.

Support will mainly be provided within the family home or taking her our for a walk in her pram.

Female support worker preferrable as her care needs include toileting / changing and support with eating and drinking.

Hours will be flexible however preferred days will be Mon / Tue or Wed (between the hours of 8am & 8.30pm)

***These positions are subject to a 6 month probationary period.
It is preferable that applicants are a driver, with current drivers licence, and beneficial if you have use of your own car and business insurance.
Successful applicants will have to provide 2 references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer) and undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employers cost.
