Fabric Cutter - Salford (Temp to Perm)
£13.50 per hour - 39 hours per week - Permanent opportunity
Our client based in Salford is seeking an experienced Fabric Cutter to join their growing manufacturing and distribution team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role within a specialist department producing high‑quality upholstered furniture.
Key Responsibilities
• Working within a small, dedicated cutting and sewing department
• Cutting patterns for a wide range of products, including sofas, chairs and bed frames
• Handling and preparing materials such as leather, velvet and premium fabrics
• Accurately following technical drawings, patterns and design specifications
• Supporting the team with fabric deliveries, stock handling and inventory checks
• Ensuring all cuts are precise to minimise waste and maintain quality standards
Working Hours & Pay
• Monday to Friday
• 07:30-16:30 (Mon-Thu)
• 07:30-12:30 (Friday)
• 39 hours per week after breaks
• £13.50 per hour, dependent on experience
• 12‑week temp-to-perm pathway
• Pay review after 3 months
Skills & Experience Required
• Recent and proven Fabric Cutting experience
• Experience working in upholstery, soft furnishings or similar manufacturing within the last 3 years
• Ability to read designs, measure materials accurately and cut with precision
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of different fabric types
